Launching on 25th September to coincide with Learn To Play ’21, Music for All is proud to announce the first in a new ongoing series of artist videos designed to inform and inspire! Premiering on our YouTube channel throughout the weekend!

Saturday 25th September

Dave Tench, The Voice | My Tips for Learning Piano / Keyboard

The brilliant Dave Tench, professional keyboard player and musical director of TV’s The Voice, gives his tips for learning to play piano or keyboard, with some general music making advice thrown in too.

Rob Rolfe, Enter Shikari |  An Introduction to Drums

Rob Rolfe, drummer for the band Enter Shikari gives a fantastic quick guide to the drum kit and introductory lesson!

Vasko Vassilev & Hetty Snell |  An Introduction to Violin & Cello

From the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Vasko Vassilev is Concert Master and violinist and Hetty Snell is Principal cellist. They both took time out at the Royal Opera House to give a quick guide to the violin and cello, why they love their instruments, and also gave a beautiful duet performance!

Ace, Skunk Anansie | My Tips For Learning Guitar

From UK rock band Skunk Anansie, Ace is a brilliant guitarist with experience of performing on the world’s biggest stages, including a Glastonbury headline. In this video Ace gives his top tips for both learning guitar and developing your playing.

Richard Henry | Introduction to Bass Trombone

Richard is professor of trombone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, plays Bass trombone for the London Jazz Orchestra, is a musician at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and is a member of the Chineke! Orchestra. He’s played with Joni Mitchell, Peter Gabriel, Hermeto Pascoal, Carla Bley, Stephen Warbeck, George Michael, Little Mix and Dame Shirley Bassey amongst many others. An inspirational teacher, Richard’s video is a brilliant guide to the instrument and how to play it!

Jennifer Moss | Introduction to the Clarinet

Jennifer is a clarinettist and educator, based in Manchester. Jennifer is the Clarinet Teaching Artist for Opera North, In Harmony, as well as a Peer Mentor for the Furthering Talent scheme at Awards for Young Musicians. She is one half of the clarinet and cello ensemble, the Pancevski Duo.
