Music for All are pleased to announce that Learn to Play will be back on the 25th and 26th September 2021. Postponed in 2020 and moved from early 2021 due to the pandemic, Learn to Play ’21 will return as both a physical and online event.
Budding and lapsed music makers can start (or re-start) their musical journey by attending the Learn to Play ’21 event. Organised by Music for All in partnerships with venues across the UK, Learn to Play provides free learning opportunities to aspiring and returning music makers through short taster lessons.
In 2019 Learn to Play was held at over 100 venues and resulted in 10,000 free lessons for participants. A wide variety of venues participated in Learn to Play including:
· Musical instrument stores
· Performance spaces
· Recording studios
· Music Teachers in local rehearsal spaces
· Schools and colleges
· Local bands and community groups in local rehearsal spaces
The Learn to Play experience is a celebration of music making to inspire and motivate potential music makers and help them continue their musical journey. It also provides the local music making community with an opportunity to meet new and lapsed music makers and help more people experience the extensive benefits of making music.
