This in-depth report reviews our significant events of 2021-22 and provides an overview of how the charity continues to fulfil its mission of helping people of all ages and backgrounds get involved in music making. During the past 18 months, the charity has built on the achievements of 2020/21 with improvements in income, increased award allocation, and a revitalised infrastructure. The newly established three-year business plan is already providing focus and renewed purpose to all our activities.
As we look to the future, our commitment to our values and vision deepens; we strive to illustrate the charity’s ethos and impact to donors and to reach a more diverse and increasing pool of award recipients. The pandemic has shown just how significantly music-making contributes to the lives of so many people, providing unique and long-lasting benefits in individual purpose, self-esteem and well-being. We are ambitious in our targets to grow the charity and most importantly increase the number of people we support in experiencing the vast joys and benefits of music-making over the coming years.
