Geoff began his accountancy career as a trainee with one of the “Big 5” firms of chartered accountants, moving to other national practices before setting up two independent accountancy practices of his own. These were later sold, enabling him to take early retirement in 2018. He now spends his time on charitable activities, particularly as Finance Director of Music for All, and says “financial management of the charity is vitally important, and to this end we have robust systems in place to ensure that our finances are properly looked after, and can be applied to the beneficiaries of the charity to the maximum amount possible.” Geoff is also involved with his local Citizens Advice Bureau, and in his spare time he plays saxophone, and has recently taken up golf.
