KYTHE Composes supported by Music for All

We’re proud to have supported KYTHE Composes with a Music for All grant – a powerful project helping young people find their voice, build confidence, and connect.

Through songwriting, recording, band camps and live performances, 47 young people aged 11–19 explored music as solo artists and collaborators, learned new skills, and performed across their local community. From guitars and drums to GarageBand and recording equipment, this project opened doors to creativity, teamwork, and helped boost confidence.

KYTHE supports young carers, care-experienced young people, those living in poverty, and young people who struggle in mainstream education or are NEET. KYTHE provided a warm, safe space where music becomes a pathway to wellbeing and friendships.

With 100% reporting improved health and wellbeing, KYTHE Composes shows exactly why access to music matters. Here’s what one of the youth workers had to say:

“The young people have expressed themselves eloquently through song, from social to political to nonsensical, variety has not been in short supply! The songs the young people have written are very good, they are now realising they CAN do it and are starting to apply the skills learnt over the course of the project.”

Huge thanks to KYTHE’s amazing team, volunteers, and the young people who made this project such a success. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
