Music for All are delighted to have awarded Aspire Creative Hub with electric guitars and ukuleles for their rehearsal rooms and clubs.
Aspire is a community creative hub on the Isle of Wight, run by volunteers which hires out rehearsal spaces. However, many of their bands do not have high quality instruments to practise on or don’t own their own instruments. Thanks to receiving their donated electric guitars, ACH have been able to develop a ‘Creative Cubs’ band for children ages 8-16, providing an opportunity for youngsters to benefit from playing on high quality instruments. They have also set up a Learn to play the ukulele club, putting the new granted ukuleles to excellent use!
The community connection manager has said:
“We have seen engagement from young people who are from families in poverty and young people at risk of school exclusion. We are using the Creative Hub to engage hard to reach young people and the grant has helped us continue our work.”
