Thanks to a Music For All grant, Ryan could fulfil his dream of owning his very own double bass – something he had dreamt of for a long time! Bass specialists, Thomas & George Martin, sourced a bass and even upgraded it with new strings – all ready for Ryan to start playing.

His family said, “One of Ryan’s autism traits is that he doesn’t typically smile or express emotion socially, but when he saw the bass, his face lit up! It was a reaction I’ve never seen from him before.”
