We have been working closely with the Glasgow enterprise 12 Guitars to provide even more guitars, ukuleles, and equipment to Teenage Cancer Trust wards in hospitals across the UK.
In addition to Glasgow and Edinburgh, 58 guitars and 39 ukuleles have recently been donated to a further 14 Teenage Cancer Trust hospital wards in Dundee, Inverness, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, Sheffield, Sutton and Nottingham.

The guitars are an asset to have available to young people, they are providing a distraction and focus which is invaluable. A huge thanks to the donors.
The last couple of years have been very challenging for us all. The donations of the guitars has come at an excellent time as we try and reinstate the music jam on apollo ward. Prior to covid this was a fantastic space for patients to come and share their feelings surrounding their diagnosis and hospital stay through age-appropriate musical improvisation and I am hopeful that we will be able to offer this soon, using the guitars you so kindly donated in a covid safe way so patients can feel connected to their peers.
