Thanks to our annual David Hughes piano award, Music for All were able to support Woolwich Creative Club in getting a set of keyboards for fifteen school children who otherwise wouldn’t have had any music provisions. Woolwich Creative Club is an after-school club at Plumcroft Primary School, in Greenwich, who give free music lessons to children between the ages of 10 to 15. Almost 50% of these children receive free school meals and come from a minority background.
Their new keyboards have been used in weekly teaching sessions which have allowed the children to play individually and as a group. This led to the club performing in the school’s debut performance at Woolwich Works.
