Thanks to a recent instrument donation Music for All were able to award several specialist electric guitars to PolyRhythm. This Cornwall based group, run a free to hire instrument library with the aim of offering free access to music so more music makers have the opportunity to learn new skills and connect with others. Active for just over a year they have 82 users and make an average of 16 loans per week. With the guitars they were able to expand the library inventory and offer free lessons through the library and with other community groups.
The guitar featured in the picture is a Dean ML 79 Floyd, Trans Brazilia – an iconic rock design that creates a powerful tone. The guitars awarded have been used in jam sessions and workshops to allow local musicians and amateurs to learn bridges on the Dean Flying V`s.
The guitars were also used in the group’s solar powered event, where they were played in the wilds of the Bodmin Moor!
