Our Mission

We break down barriers that prevent people from accessing instruments, equipment and tuition, supporting those disadvantaged by social, economic, health or cultural circumstance.

Why support Music for All?

You support can help:

  • Young people in underfunded schools or community settings to access regular music education

  • Music making for adults facing barriers, including disabilities, health conditions, or financial hardship

  • Grassroots music projects in disadvantaged communities extend and expand their reach

  • Individuals from deprived backgrounds develop their musical skills

We target the most disadvantaged communities:

65%

of our grant applicants are from areas in the bottom 30% of the UK index of multiple deprivation

40%

of individual beneficiaries identify as having a disability or long term health condition

15%

of our projects specifically target ethnically diverse communities

Across the last five years, we’ve already helped approx 17,000 people per year benefit from music making opportunities through cash grants, instrument and equipment donations, and by directly supporting free access to music making opportunities. However, we can only support 12.4% of those applying for our support.

How can you help?

Sponsor areas of particular interest in line with brand values and CSR objectives:

Education award sponsor

Allow schools to move beyond the basic requirements of the curriculum; this may include supporting the development of a school ensemble or establishing extra curricular provision for interested pupils.

Learn to Play Sponsor

Support free access to music making opportunities through Learn to Play initiative; in 2025, 2500 people participants took part, many trying an instrument for the first time. We secured widespread media coverage.

Support a specific project

Music for All works in partnership with a number of organisations on projects across varying areas of need. Recent initiatives include grants for dementia music projects via the Power of Music Fund and Youth Club support with equipment donations from music industry suppliers and grants for a year’s worth of tuition.

Instrument donations

Help store, transport and distribute 1500 instruments distributed via our awards programme every three years.

Talent development

Support our “Learn to Play” award – helping promising musicians mentoring, instruments and recording time.

We need your support to grow
